But if every person who drinks liquors would try the different aroma and taste of Tuba, which would certainly give a new flavor to a person's next-day hangover, they will love this different kind of drink. But it's the local flavor that counts and it certainly gives an old-school taste in today's modern Samara-Letter.But what is more interesting is the fact that this Tuba is to Just like other liquors because this has an extra-ordinary power which can help people in many ways. This is the reason why the researchers got curious about Tuba. The secret behind this; why is this still admired by others aside from the fact that this is already a new age in the society. To help not only the business persons, but as well as the economy of the country, this is being exported into other countries. So who would say that this is Just a simple drink that doesn't have any benefits at all aside from giving happiness to every person that drink t his?Be admired and be amazed by the spirit of the Wary heritage of Tuba. The study is only limited on the places within Samara and Letter because these are the nearest places from the place of study, the Saint Paul School of Business and Law.The research only aims to know the information that can answer the questions stated in the Statement of the Problem. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE Coconut Red Wine is a traditional Philippine wine came from the coconut tree. Another type of drink we can get from coconut is â€Å"Lambing† or coconut vodka and is merely known in the part of Luzo n. The tuba and lambing is closely related. They only differ in mixture and color. BODY The process of making tuba starts when the tuba gatherer called â€Å"management† climbs a coconut tree. The Tuba still exist up to the present because of its uniqueness in terms of taste, aroma, and also of its price compared to other wine. CONCLUSION The researchers c oncluded that tuba is preferable than other liquors because of the health benefits it gives to the drinker. The reason also why it still exist because of the cheap price and the benefit it gives to drinker, not only to the drinker, but also to the economy of the country through exports to other countries. The researchers also concluded that the process of making tuba is clean but hard to make because of the tall coconut trees that the managements climb every day Just to make it.But, it's worth it because it can help our country, not only our country, but also to the health of each person who drinks it making him/her healthier. RECOMMENDATION Based on the data gathered and the study conducted, the researchers recommend that the business persons engaged with the business on Tuba making, as well as to the government to continue exporting this kind of wine into other countries abroad o that this would be recognized by other people outside the country. And also, due to the continuous exp ortation of Tuba, the Philippines will be more famous and popular than it is today.The researchers also recommend to other students who are graduate and undergraduate of business courses to engage in this type of business, the Tuba Making. Aside from the additional income that It can brought to themselves as well as to the country, it may also help the people who drink this to become healthier because of the benefits it can gives us. The researchers recommend also hat related researchers with regards to the topic should be conducted so that this type of Filipino heritage, the tuba should be more known in our country.

FeminismRozen Tali, the writer of the book, What Is Feminism Anyways. Opens her book saying that she never really understood what feminism is exactly. She says people just call her a feminist every time she speaks her opinion about â€Å"differentiating her and a floor rag. † She writes about a sentence that was said in 1913 by a woman, was a British reporter, by the name Rebecca West, saying that if you are waiting for a current and modern definition of feminism, you have nothing to wait for. There is no definition. It is not that a definition does not exist, it exists and that is a for sure thing.It’s just that, there are so many definitions that there is no specific one. (Rozen) Rozen writes that the word ‘feminism’ actually was born about one hundred years ago. In the beginning this word was used as a medical term for a man that has female characteristics. As time passed the word feminism turned in to a term in the psychological world; also got a negative connotation to it, but this time not a male with female characteristics, but as a description of a woman with male character. (Merchant & Parpart) Michel Foucault, one of the leading postmodernist (and poststructuralist) thinkers, has emphasized the inadequacies of metanarratives and the need to examine the specificities of power and its relation to knowledge and language (discourse. He dismisses â€Å"reason† as a fiction and sees â€Å"truth† as simply a partial, localized version of â€Å"reality† transformed into a fixed form in the long process of history. He argues that discourse- a historical, socially and institutionally specific structure of statements, terms, categories, and beliefs- is the site of where meanings are contested and powe r relations determined (Scott 1988:36. ) The ability to control knowledge and meaning, not only through writing but also through disciplinary and professional institutions, and in social relations, is the key to understanding and exercising power relations in society.According to Foucault, the false power of hegemonic knowledge can be challenged by counter-hegemonic discourses which offer alternative explanation of â€Å"reality† (Foucault 1972; 1979; 1980. ) The search to understand the construction of social meaning has led postmodernists/ poststructuralist scholars to recognize the contingent of the subject. As Judith Butler points out, â€Å"No subject is its own point of departure† (Butler, 1992; 9) Jacque Derrida (1976) emphasizes the crucial role played by binary opposites.Indeed, he argues that Western philosophy largely rests on opposites, such as truth/falsity, unity/diversity, or man/woman, whereby the nature and primacy of the first term is also superior to the second. According to him, in the 19th century, when sexuality was taboo, it increased desire to break the taboo and talk about sex, that also created behaviors which were categorized as social deviance. For example, sex between men, were â€Å"homosexual. † This was a setting, which has reference for those people, people who were born different. This is one of Foucault's contributions to understanding the relationship between sexual orientation and identity. According to Foucault, identity is created as part of a dialogue, in particular power relations in society.He demonstrates the change in sex ratio from permissiveness of the Middle Ages, where words related to sex revealed associations of â€Å"pleasures† and â€Å"alliance†, and the language of the 19th century, which has the sex talk not allowed or shameful to talk about. Hence, definitions of â€Å"heterosexual† and â€Å"homosexuality† are the product of modern times, from the 19th – century. As someone who has studied the sexual discourse in society, Foucault argued that the discourse on sexuality limits and defines the sexual content and created a social pattern. Once we understand how we talk about sex, we understand sexuality.That is, language reflects the thinking and perception also on sex and sexuality. The mechanisms of power in sexuality, expressed the distinction between what and what is not acceptable in society. Namely, that the discourse on sexuality is a society regime (as expressions of political power mechanisms); language created a situation, when the subject of sex is brought up, the person might feel sinful (sexual). Feeling which helps to suppress the desire for sex, because that person did not want to feel a sinner. The goal behind this repression is, to get the â€Å"different† forms of sex out of the people.That is, except for the non-reproductive sex. The society defines normal sexual norms, from early childhood to old age. Whoever goes beyond the norm, is placed under the situation of the â€Å"controlled mechanism† in order to create helpful sexual drive economically and politically beneficial to society. These mechanisms determine what is allowed and what is not right in society and what is wrong. Foucault arg ued that since the 18th century, the deviation began to violate the law (courts could, not so long ago, to convict homosexuals or partners who betrayed their spouse).By, new sexual settings, to different sexual behaviors (that were always there but never received cultural significance) changed the face of society. This means social definition creates the identity. The new terms â€Å"gay,† â€Å"lesbian† and â€Å"straight†, are the result of modern discourse, which created categorization and sub-categories of conversation. The term â€Å"homosexuality† has two interpretations, one, sexual preference. Second meaning is social labeling. This labeling is the concept of the rule of the person which identifies himself or herself, as †gay†. That is, each character turns shades of defining sexual identity.Experts (such as pedagogues, psychologists and psychiatrists), can be social power, which determine the legitimate content – normal and ide ntify the pathological contents of a person. Their power, according to Foucault, is due to their proximity to the dominant group in society, the bourgeoisie and the political elite. A note, it is extremely crucial to know the difference between sex and gender, because then we are giving legitimacy to popular belief, commemorating the situation in which women are subject to male social order. This follows the histori cal tradition of the patriarchal family and society.This approach considers the biological differences between the sexes, as the distribution of the different roles. In other words, gender inequality is prevailing social perceptions. Ultimately, the goal is to get into a relationship of equality between men and women in society, there would be no more women who are discriminated against on the basis of sex and / or gender. For, as de Beauvoir said, man and woman, depend on each other for sex and continuity of human society. Grendel and Cain Essay In the story of Beowulf you get a glimpse of many different themes throughout this epic. Those themes range from good and evil to those of death and glory. The story itself depicts a period in history when life was lead blind through the teachings of the book of the lord and his spoken words. At this same period in history traditional pagan religious practices and beliefs have slowly given way to the ideals and philosophy of Christianity. Many of the themes held within the pages of Beowulf stem from the proverbs and fables recited and practiced in the Old Testament, while concurrently adding pagan beliefs of monsters, demons, and multiple gods. The most striking of these biblical comparisons is viewed between Grendel (the protagonist, evil rival of Beowulf) and Cain (the evil brother of Able). In the Old Testament, Cain kills his brother Abel and is consequently punished and banished from the Garden of Eden by God. His actions proved to have a dramatic effect on the life of Grendel and the choices he makes throughout his life until his epic struggle for victory over the Geats and Beowulf himself. Symbolically and genetically, Grendel assumes the role of his ancestor Cain in this epic story as an outsider, disowned from the rest of society, finding a home only among the unknown (evil) and those who have sinned. Feeding on the flesh and blood of gods creations, Grendel starts a vigorous battle to destroy all that is good and the things he can not have. To the Anglo-Saxons and the creators of Beowulf, one of the worst crimes a person could have committed in life was that of murdering ones kin (or the killing of ones brother). During the era of this writing the figure of Cain is used metaphorically to represent the unknown (chaos, evil) and the presence of evil. Cain defies gods will and so he secludes himself to the evils of the surrounding world only to foster a hatred of god and a family cursed for eternity. The period in which Grendel and Cain resided in was deeply structured around the book of the lord (bible) and as a result created a society structured around the teachings and morals of its stories. The idea of friendship and kin being desecrated through the act of murder is one of the worst things a person can do and the consequences of that are severe. Grendel is a victim of his own world and the actions of his ancestors. The society for which Grendel wants to conquer and deny existence  proves to be the creator and destroyer of his tragic being. In the classic story of Cain and Able, Cain enviously slays his brother Able in a vicious outcry of jealousy and anger. For his sin, he was banished from mankind for eternity and left only to live life displaced from the routines of normal beings and forced to live among the dark and the sinful. Cain was the first of a cursed family to be exiled for the sins he committed. His punishment proved to have a drastic effect on him and the future of his blood line. His punishment spawned his dedication to holding a grudge against god himself and the unreachable light he has been denied of. After being the first born of Adam and eve, Cain went on to become a farmer of the ground, while his brother Abel followed the pursuits of a keeper of the sheep. Cain became a self-willing, vindictive man, defiant in his attitude towards God and his relation to his kin. His eternal sin was committed on the seventh day or Sunday of the week while the two brothers were presenting offerings to the lord. Abels offering was of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat (Gen. 4:4), while Cains was of the fruit of the ground (Gen. 4:3). For Abels sacrifice, he gave the best he had and so his offering was respected by his elders while Cains offering was scorned and dismissed. It was for this reason Cain brood anger towards his kin; the worst of which was focused on his younger brother Able. After his disgrace towards the lord and his family, Cains apathy towards his brother produced feelings of murderous intention and hatred. Sooner or later this desperate outrage led him to murder Able in raw uneventful hatred. For his sin he was expelled from Eden. From that day on he led the life of an exile, doomed to be a fugitive and wanderer in the earth (Gen. 4:12) and denied the rights of a normal man, only to bare the mark of a sinner and warning to others. With this Cain walked into the land of Nod (unknown, evil, dark), only to leave a legacy felt by the generations of his offspring. When Cain killed Able, he ignited the eternal flame of a cursed family. From Cains blood came the curse of his exile and sprang ogres and elves and evil phantoms and the giants too (Beowulf. Pg. 35), darkness entailed is legacy and evil embodied his future. Grendel is a descendant of Cain, so he shares Cains exile from all that is good and light. Cain may have been the  first displaced person after Adam and Eve, but he was not the last. Grendel shares his ancestors punishment, he is exiled not only from whatever land or wealth he would have had if he were human, but he is also abandoned by God and all who followed and indulge in his faith and grandeur. It is this abandonment that causes Grendel to destroy and murder. The treasure seat, he was kept from approaching; he was the Lords outcast (Beowulf pg.36), since he cannot approach the throne of the Lord like the rest of mankind, he chooses to attempt to destroy it. He has no love for God and his children if he can not be with them hand in hand. However, unlike Cain and his parents, Grendel is doomed from his creation by being conceived into a blood line stricken by an eternity of banishment from Gods light because of Cains sin against his brother. It is for this reason why Grendel kills. He can never be in the light because he is constantly fighting a lonely war against God and all of his creations. Because of his expulsion from that which is good, he is moreover discarded by everything that follows in the wake of gods will (people, society, life, etc.). The text refers to him as spurned and joyless (Beowulf pg. 47); it is no wonder why Grendel was considered so monstrous. He did not accept his banishment without fighting back. Like most people who are enraged and apathetic and then placed between a rock and a hard place he fought back insensible to pain and human sorrow (Beowulf pg. 35) for those he murdered. The reason behind his actions is not because he is an unruly monster, but instead, he is overwhelmed by jealousy because he is not able to share in the spoils god has made accessible to humanity. With this in mind, if Grendel can not step into the light and become part of the life as witnessed from the outside. Then he will destroy it and leave it for no one. Just as Cain did before him, Grendel will never be content with himself as long as he must bare witness to the celebrating of life and love enjoyed by all whom lavish in the glow of Gods hands. Whether it is Grendel or his ancestor Cain, they both suffer from the agony of trying to survive in a world as cursed beings, forced to loath around in the outskirts of the cold night and the loneliness of a sun scorched day. After destroying the perfect image of a content person in the name of jealousy and anger, Cain; forbidden to enter the known world forever,  created a sphere of influence which played into the future of his children and his grandchildrens children and so on. Even though the mark of Cain is not evident on Grendels physical characteristics, the presence of his cursed nature is. He like Cain suffers from an abandonment of faith and humanity. As outcasts they both find resentment and hatred towards the things they want most, whether its acknowledgement by god and all that is good in the world or the ability to wander freely without fear of ridicule and hostility. To humanity they pose a threat worse then the sum of most peoples fears. They represent all that is bad in the world and as a result find themselves rejected by everything good the world has to offer. It is circumstances like these that have proven to bring out the worst in a person, such as they did in Cain and his later ancestor Grendel. What would you expect from those forced to live among the displaced in a world resentful of there existence. Introduction In this report I will be discussing a brain disease called Picks and how it affects communication for the client, their family and the healthcare assistant. There are five distinguishing features of Picks disease, I have done all my research on line and found all the sites extremely helpful. On set. Personality change. Roaming behaviour. Loss of normal controls. Hyper sexuality. Picks Disease Picks disease is a less common form of dementia. it is 15% of all dementia cases. It is a very rare disease. The human brain is the most complicated organ of our bodies, picks is frontal temporal dementia, nerves at the front and sides of the brain are destroyed due to a build-up of proteins why the build-up of protein nobody knows but Picks strikes adults between the ages of 40 and 60 and there are a few cases of Picks suffers at the young age of 20, it’s a disease that is more common in women than men. Picks is hard to diagnose and can sometimes be diagnosed as depression. Onset; the physical signs of Picks is muscle rigidity, difficulty moving about, incontinence and memory loss. Personality change; Picks is a very steadily progressive disease, there would be many behavioural changes like inappropriate behaviour speech difficulty, loss of memory and intellectual abilities poor judgment overeating and drinking, lack of hygiene. Emotional signs would be mood changes, no empathy, impatience, aggression and no attention span, there language skills would deteriorate fast as well difficulty in speaking and understanding and a decreased inability to read and write. Roaming behaviour; Picks suffers just like any dementia suffer have a need to roam about they don’t seem to like doors or closed in spaces, so this means that someone has to be constantly with them they cannot be left on their own in case of injuries or the client getting themselves into danger. Loss of normal controls; this is the client not having control over how much food or drink. Hyper sexuality affects anyone who has had a brain injury or suffers with some form of dementia it is where client would have not sexual urges or they would be highly sexual. All these signs behavioural emotional language and physical can be very stressful on the client’s family especially when they might not have the correct information about the diseases. The family Caring for someone with Picks disease: When you have a loved one with a dementia disease like Picks you want to do everything in your power to do the right thing for them so you and your family will take on the responsibility of caring for your loved one, you are first looking at around the clock care which is going to be tough mentally and physical. Your dealing with major personality changes mood swings, rudeness, impatience, aggression, incontinence all these things you never had to deal with before this not just upheaves the clients life but yours your family friends your work plans basically you and your loved ones life plans and this alone can be very stressful. Always get as much information as you can about the diseases on the internet from your doctor, specialists and support groups, never ever refuse help from your family and friends remember no one is an Island we all need help. The client with Picks disease; Picks is very hard to diagnose it is sometime mistaken for depression it has some of the symptoms of depression e.g. mood swings, no attention span, lack of hygiene over eating or not eating properly, The loss of speech and understand when trying to communicate can be very upsetting for the client which leads to aggression impatience and frustration. It is very important that the client gets as much help as they can get, speech therapy plenty of exercise but above all keep their dignity, some examples of this would be always make eye contact make sure the client can here and see you always tell them who you are and what will be happening you may have to repeat this many times and speak slow clear and calm. It is so important to get help as fast as you can it can make a difference with speech there are memory exercises that can be of great benefit, there are also flash cards that can be used for when the speech does get harder for the client simple pictures of the toilet, drink, eat I’m tired these can help with communications and ease some of the frustration for all family and care givers. Clients should always be able and never afraid to ask for help. The Healthcare assistant and the Picks client; As a healthcare provider you always have to be observant watching the client to see any physical and emotional changes with them watching their demeanour when visitors come or if you fell something is not right with your client. Gain their attention by making eye contact make sure that your client can see and hear you always sit at the same level use names when you are talking try to keep their attention. Speak slowly clearly and in a clam manner use your tones correctly pause between each sentences to give your client a chance to answer your question. Be clear when family members and visitors call tell them who they are by name especially if they are new to them like a new doctor a new staff member. Listening to your client is very important reduce all background noise TV, radio and other peoples conversations. If your client is having difficulties trying to find words or finishing what they want to tell you try and find ways for them to explain this is where the flashcards would come in handy. When your clients speech is getting hard to understand use what you know about them and you might get a feel as to what they are trying to tell you but always check to make sure that this is what they are looking for please don’t shout or use bad tones this will cause much distress always include your client in decision making offer them choices and try and use questions that can be answered with a yes or no or a simple nod of the head. No slang words or abbreviations they might not understand what you are saying and it could turn into frustration for your client. Communication Commination is the major factor for the client the family and the healthcare assistant it would be of great benefit to the client if you suggested to the family to do commutations course it would help them to cope better with their loved one and to understand how to communicate properly which would be extremely helpful in dealing with a person that has a brain disease. Learning to live with Picks dealing with a family member who has it and caring for someone with a brain disease is upsetting for all but catching it as early as possible learning coping and communicating skills can be of great benefit to the client family and healthcare assistant.
